Jewellery FAQ's

 

1. How long until I receive my jewellery?

We aim to deliver within 3-4 working days. Rings can take 10 working days to be made in your required size.

Full eternity rings, out of stock and custom orders may take 4 to 6 weeks.

Upon accepting your order we will inform you of the approximate lead time of your order within 1 business day; excluding weekends and bank holidays. With so many product and options it is not always possible to state delivery times for each product online. 2. Can I return the jewellery if I don't like it?

Yes we offer 30 days to return your jewellery for online orders, for full details please view our 'returns' page.

 

3. Do you have a store I can visit?

M & E Jewellers offers this by appointment only, most appointments are either for loose diamonds, engagement rings or wedding rings.

 

4. How can you offer such low prices?

The world wide web is a competitive place, to ensure we can stay in front of the competition we not only have to offer the very best in products and service, but we also need to offer the best value. We carefully source our jewellery from suppliers who not only offer high quality jewellery with beautiful designs but who also offer excellent pricing. It makes sense for us to minimise returns, and what better way is there to keep our customers happy than to offer high quality jewellery at incredible prices..

 

5. I've ordered the wrong size ring what can I do?

If you have ordered the wrong size ring you may return it to us to be made in the correct size (*if possible) for an additional fee (£25 on average including postage) this fee may vary depending on the type of ring and sizing required.

Be careful; Certain rings cannot be re-sized. These include full eternity rings and some settings. Rings can only be sized within reasonable parameters i.e. we may not be able to size a ring 5+ sizes up or down for example as this may loosen stones or affect the shape of the ring.

If you are ordering a full eternity ring or a tension set engagement ring for example make sure you know the correct size.

 

6. How can I find the ring size I need?

It’s best to check at a local jewellers or alternatively you can send us a ring that does fit and we can take a measurement of that ring and return it to you with your completed order

 

7. What delivery service do you use?

UK deliveries: We use 'Royal Mail Special Delivery' next day by 1:00pm, covering 99% of UK. Online tracking is available.

Abroad: We generally use 'Royal Mail International signed for' for orders under £700 (delivery within 3 working days of despatch) & 'FedEx Express' for orders over £700. (delivery next working day upon despatch).

We reserve the right to change couriers if necessary. We will send shipping details by email upon despatch.

 

8. Are the order packages sent in plain envelopes?

Yes our packaging gives no indication as to what is inside and our company logo is not displayed on the package. This is mainly for security reasons but also lets you keep any surprises. Our sender address has to be labelled on the package but our company name is not mentioned.

 

9. What are your opening times?

You can call us Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 6:00pm excluding bank holidays, however please feel free to try us outside these times. We also monitor emails carefully so please email us if you can't get through on the phone.

 

10. Is it safe to buy jewellery on your website?

Yes, the M & E Jewellers website is incredibly safe to use. We provide a full information page dedicated to this on our 'online security' page

 

11. What if I encounter a problem with my jewellery after your 12 month guarantee has finished?

If you encounter any problems or damage with your jewellery (such as those listed below) after your 12 month guarantee, we can offer to inspect your jewellery and advise on what work is necessary to repair your item.

Work may include:

  • Missing stones
  • Broken claws
  • Worn down plating
  • Scratches
  • Ring re-sizing
  • Chain or Clasp repairs
  • Cracks or dents in precious metal
